A couple days ago, while falling down YouTube's rabbit hole I ran across a girl online who DIY's her own lash extensions.
Multiple times in the video she does say she doesn't recommend to do this at home.
That she is a trained lash specialist.
That she is an Esthetician.
My question is for her then, WHY?
This is so dangerous, on many different levels!
She could end up with an eye infection (mainly because she collects them as they fall off to reapply). She could lose her natural lashes and damage her regrowth. This could also cause a permanent loss of some, if not all, of her lashes. She could hurt her eyes with a chemical burn from the glue or cause a sty. She could glue her eyes closed.
All of the reasons listed above is why you should never ever apply your own lash extensions. Any certified Esthetician and Lash Artist knows this. This also makes me wonder how her clients lashes lo
ok. You are always your best advertisement, and doing work this shoddy is not good at all.
Please make sure to always visit a trained professional for any kind of work like this. Spending anywhere from $100-$300 is common for lash appointments. It just depends on what type you want and how you want them to look. Don't ever cheap out to do things to yourself. You don't want to end up getting hurt and then spending more money in the long run for medical expenses.
